As its name implies, the program allows you to compress any type of video file to a manageable size. Unlike other programs of the same type, this one presents you with different options that let you control the whole process.
First of all, the program gives you all the relevant information regarding the priginal file, such as format, duration, size, audio and video codec and bitrate, and so on. Having this information, you can decide how to modify the file during compression. You can choose a different file format, frame size, bitrate, audio codec, and so on. In the lower part of the program,a graph will appear showing the original file size, and the new size you would obtain using the options you choose.
An interesting feature is the possibility of editing the file by setting its contrast, brightness, saturation, and sharpness. Also, you can crop the video if needed.
A disadvantage is that you can't preview the video before editing.This would be a great feature for future editions.
You can download either an .exe or .zip file to install the program. There is no big difference between both of them in terms of weight.
The shareware version has some features disabled. Also, a "nag screen" appears every time you compress a file. To get rid of these limitations, you will need to purchase a license.
